Force Security Operative (Indiana) ** Contingent Upon Award **

Role Overview:

An armed Force Security Operative deters hostile elements and protects DOD personnel, facilities, information, and material against criminal trespass, and other unlawful activities. Locations of performance shall be Camp Atterbury in Edinburgh, Indiana and Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Butlerville, Indiana. Duties include vehicle and personnel security screening, perimeter surveillance, internal mobile patrols, and the ability to operate USG communication equipment and web-based applications. This position is for a six-month contract working 5/2/2/5 with an on-call status as required.

Responsibilities:

  1. The armed Force Security Operative is required to pass a semi-annual Physical Agility Test including a 1.5-mile run, a 300-meter dash, push-ups and air-squats, as well as qualifying semi-annually with government-approved weapon(s).
  2. The armed Force Security Operative shall continually observe and control entry and exit points, perimeter, and surrounding areas to identify suspicious personnel, vehicles, objects and activities that are seen as either posing a threat to or observing DOD facilities and equipment.
  3. The armed Force Security Operative shall be aware of, and abide by, all post and general orders as well as local, state and federal laws where applicable.
  4. The armed Force Security Operative shall be properly trained, equipped, briefed, and mentally and physically prepared to conduct roving patrols or staff a fixed post.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be a U.S. Citizen

  2. Must possess a valid and active U.S. driver’s license

  3. Must possess or be able to obtain an Indiana License to Carry
  4. Must be minimum 21 years of age
  5. Prior experience in armed forces, police, or private security company in a contingency area a plus

Estimated Minimum Rate: $30/hr
Estimated Maximum Rate: $45/hr
